Biology
The bachelor Biology hosts a honours programme for approximately 15 motivated and talented students. This programme entails a total of 45 ECTS of which 15 ECTS are allocated to extracurricular and interdisciplinary activities.
Activities
The programme is composed of a number of activities:
- Thematic gatherings once a month organised by you with workshops, guest lectures, discussions of (popular) scientific books, etc.
- An honours course during which you work in groups on an intensive group project (like writing a popular science book). In this project, you will also be trained in academic skills.
- Participation in the Interdisciplinary Module of the Science Honours Academy (Osiris BETA-B2HRI) in which all honours programmes of the Faculty of Science participate.
Enrollment
Selection of students will take place during your first year of studies in February and in June. You are invited to participate in the honours programme if you have an average grade of 7.5 or higher. Alternatively, you may be invited on recommendation of your tutor.
